From zero to hero – 6,016 meters of elevation gain vol. 2

Book a trip

Description

We strive to make every trip have a WOW effect, but this one will be exceptional. It’s enough to say that the elevation difference will be 6,016 meters! We promise to show you the most beautiful things in Argentina. The highest mountains, the highest passes, the highest volcano in the world, and many more records. We will look inside a volcano, ride through the jungle, see the most beautiful lagoons, and of course, climb a volcano that is 6,016 meters high.

We want participants on this trip who want to experience something extraordinary. It’s less important what motorcycle you’ll be riding — in 2025, we did it on a CRF 300 — the spirit of adventure is what really matters and you must have it within you. This won’t be just riding from hotel to hotel. We will, of course, stop at them, but they won’t be the main goals of our journey. We’re creating a unique and unforgettable event. One that will surpass all your previous trips and remain a vivid memory for years to come. We invite only those with a heart for adventure!

This is our most adventurous trip in South America…

Day 1 | Valparaiso

Arrival in Santiago and motorcycle pick-up took place the day before, along with sightseeing in Valparaíso. We head straight into the mountains, entering Argentina via one of the most beautiful mountain passes connecting the two countries. Agua Negra sits at an altitude of 4,800 meters. We stay overnight in Rodeo, Argentina’s mecca for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Day 2 | Rodeo - Fiambala

Forget what the website says — this won’t be just a one-day ride. We’re talking several days of hardcore, high-altitude adventure: tackling rugged mountain passes, crossing wild rivers, and pushing both riders and machines to the limit. We’ll aim to reach an altitude of 5,450 meters on motorcycles — and with a bit of grit and luck, we just might make it…

Day 3 | Fiambala - Nevado San Fancisco - Ojos de Salado

These are the days of the ultimate test — we’ll ride up to the San Francisco Pass and continue toward the mighty Ojos del Salado volcano. Our goal? To climb as high as 5,900 meters on motorcycles. After that, it’s a descent back to the pass and an overnight stay at 4,800 meters.

Day 4 | Climbing 6016 meters

In the morning, we’ll ride close to our objective — and after about three hours of climbing, we should be standing on the summit of the volcano. That is, if Saint Francis lets us. Then it’s a fast descent and ride down to Fiambalá, where natural hot springs await and well-earned relaxation begins.

Day 5 | Fiambala - Hot springs

More hot springs lie ahead… if we can reach them. Before that, we face a showdown with a river that we’ll have to cross a dozen times or more. Solid off-road skills will be a huge asset on this stretch — and those without them will have to learn fast.

Day 6 | Hot springs - El Penon

If it weren’t for the sand, we’d call this section an easy one. But there is sand. A lot of sand. We strongly recommend learning how to ride in it beforehand — but if that’s not an option, you’re in for a free two-hour lesson. That is, if you’re a quick learner.

Day 7 | El Penon - Salta

Finally, a stretch where everyone can catch their breath. Along the way, stunning views await us—and even better food. The day ends with dinner at the market square in Salta.

Day 8 | Salta - Humahuaca

Now it’s time for jungle, winding roads, condors, and sheer cliffs. We want to show you a different side of Argentina.

Day 9 | Humahuaca - San Pedro de Atacama

We don’t exactly know which route we’ll take. Well, we do — it’ll be a beautiful one — but whether it’s asphalt or off-road depends on the weather, the riders’ condition, and how the motorcycles hold up.

Day 10 | San Pedro de Atacama - Calama

Chill out in San Pedro and then an easy, relaxed 100 km ride toward the airport.
