Book a trip
Description
The Silk Road did not have a single route – it was a network of many trade paths connecting East and West. Goods traveled both ways – after all, nobody came back “empty-handed.” We’ll begin our adventure on the Silk Road in Istanbul. If you wish, we can help you transport your motorcycles to Thessaloniki, so you can skip the dull roads of Europe. From there, giving Turkey just a passing glance, we’ll ride into Iran, continue through Turkmenistan, and on to Uzbekistan, to admire three fairytale cities: Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand. The journey will end in Bishkek, from where the motorcycles will either return to Europe or wait through the summer to continue in August – all the way to Vladivostok.
That’s the plan, but the situation in Iran is fluid, so we reserve the right to modify the route: either by going through Georgia into Russia to bypass Iran, or – in a very positive scenario – by riding across Iran and Afghanistan into Tajikistan, finishing the adventure in Kyrgyzstan.
We invite all those who carry adventure in their hearts…
The trip will last three weeks and is intended for large motorcycles. We’ll be sticking to asphalt roads and don’t plan on camping, though – as always on our expeditions – we’ll take tents with us. Luggage will be carried in the support vehicle.
